Ah yes, we do want the rubies (and the rubles) because the price of wisdom comes with much work and pain.

For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

I am grateful for the positive comments. I am feeling lately like I don't have the umph to respond to each one properly or to comment on the poems of others as I'd like to and for this I am sorry.
