Stored Haiku
Life is like a store
You grab whatever you want
Then you pay the price
This week's prompt from Haiku Horizon's is "store." You may also enjoy what I wrote for their previous promt- "cold," which I got done too late to link to on their site.
If I have the time, energy, and inspiration to think of more on "store," I think I'll put them in the comments.

Toy store wonderland
Full of things I'd never own
My joy and sorrow

Actually, in re-reading, I'd change "I'd" to "I'll."
Imaginative, creative!
Good one. :)
Thank you, Judith. (Assuming you meant my haiku.)
Wait, no, of course you meant Neil's! I hadn't noticed it before. Was it up last night?
Anyhow, I like it. It reminds me of the Chazal -- עולם הזה כבי הילולא חטוף ואכול חטוף ואכול.
This is very thought provoking. I can think of a wide range of prices (high and low and nothing at all) that one could be asked to pay.
PS: Sorry. Wordpress will not post a comment on blogger, so I've opened a blogger account to leave comments. Here is the link to my wordpress post:

A good one !
So very true...
Essence of life expressed in so few words!
The Grinch was right that
Christmas can't be sold in stores
So many things can't
