I guess it's a little late for this to mark the anniversary, but you (through this blog) have really impacted my approach to tefillah. Shortly after stumbling on your blog (thanks to a rec from a friend), I began writing intensively in my siddur all sorts of thoughts, ideas, tefillot. At the time I wasn't sure why I was doing it, it just felt right. But then, a year or two later, I found myself on your blog, and it struck me then (I was already on my third or fourth, scribbled-to-death, siddur-journal at that point) that I owed such a debt of gratitude to your lovely, personal, idiosyncratic, heart-musings on this downright amazing blog. You are a direct cause of SO MANY of my highest feelings of kedusha, my loftiest longings, my most powerful prayers.
And that is a debt for which I am forever indebted to you.
Thank you so much Eli. (Are you an Eli I know personally? It's fine if you want to remain anonynius. Just curious as I know some good Wli's in my life. And I think there's an Eli I know who used to and maybe still does have a very meaningful, powerful, personal blog.
Your words are very very appreciated. Made more than my day. So nice to know that what I put out there is meaningful in someone's life.
