Chayei Sarah- Parshah Poem

We're told we'll be told of Sarah's life, that's the goal
But then we're told about part, not the whole

The answer is kind of simple to see
Our year's are incomplete, a piece of what's to be

All of our days are greater than their sum
There is so much more that is to come

Our life span has an afterlife- everything that we do
We live on in the next world and in this world too

So remember as you go through today
There are ripple effects to all you do and say

May the good deeds that we do live on in family and friends
And in this way our life never ends

(Based on a question and answer of rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch)
