He Asked For Wonder

When I'm hungry I wonder-

not the kind of a wonder

that Heschel wondered

I wonder what to eat.

But sometimes 

I eat nothing

but connection 

with people

connection 

with ideas

connection 

with myself.

And then

the urge

to eat

goes.
