A Moment, and a Haiku

While siting and warming up before meeting with a student Just now I had him take at look at 2 books - The Wisdom of a Starry Night and In the Field.  He found the first one "cool" in how it permitted a "different view of the art." Then he was excited to see haiku again, years after learning about them in elementary school- and he became more excited when he realized I wrote the book. His favorite was the one on page 69.  The moment inspired me to write and give him this:

Sitting with student
talking, connecting for real:
a holy postcard

Thank you Sharon. it's a wonderful book and I have yet to have a student look at it and not be taken by it.
