Zot (Zos) Chanukkah

A dear friend emailed me the following:

An idea I had, what do you think?

The last day of Chanukah is called Zot Chanukah because of the leining at the end of Nasso. A look there reveals that twice the Torah says "zot chanukat hamizbeyach", framing before and after the accounting of the last twelve days of the gifts of the nesi'im.

THIS is the chanukat hamizbeyach, THIS is Chanukah: only when the individual contributions are joined as one, not individual expressions, but the cooperation and togetherness of the klal.....

I like this idea A LOT.
