Accidents and rain
and a late school start again
as the twelfth grade leaves

Outside the wind growls
Inside, students finish up
Sighing out A.P.

It is cold in here
like snow is falling on me
It's so very cold

Stiflingly cold
Invisible snow falls fast
So cold in the room

The week goes
slowly fast,
slow each day
fast looking back

On Friday
as I teach
my honors class
I am filled
like a kiddush cup
sweetened to the max
with gratitude
