Thank you so much, Pearl. The feedback means a lot to me.
A big person in the world of modern haiku will be reviewing my book soon. I'm nervous becuase I do it my way.
Today someone who had a plug in a recent YU/RIETS alum newsletter told me he saw my plug there for my book. I knew nothing about it. It was cool that they mentioned it:
OUR CHAVEIRIM
Rabbi Neil Fleischmann '92R
In the Field: A Collection of Haiku (Lulu.com, 2011) By Rabbi Neil Fleischmann
To read a review of the newest book from "NY's Funniest Rabbi," please visit Rabbi Fleischmann's blog here. Rabbi Fleischmann is also a Rebbe at The Frisch School in New Jersey. To contact Rabbi Fleischmann: Neil.Fleischmann@Frisch.Org
Hope you're collecting these haiku for your next publishing venture!
Overall, were you happy with the Lulu process? Did any of your ordered books have printing issues, missed pages, weak binding? Let's say you ordered 200 copies to start? Can you continue to order copies on an as-need basis? They provide the ISBN and market it to Amazon.com? I'm asking all these just so I can gather up info re. the potential of my putting together a collection of my poetry. Halevai that I should have a publisher accept a manuscript and I not have to self-publish, but in the event that I have to go the self-publish route, I'm looking at options...
