My Walk To The Young Israel of Windsor Park on Thanksgiving Morning

One of your photos brought back sweet memories for me! I Googled Young Israel of Windsor Park just to see a photo of the building again, after almost 50 years. It was then that I happened upon your blog entry which chronicled through a few photos your walk to the shul. And there was Pete's Cafe. Rabbi, when I was nine or so, back in 1963, I would meet my mom there (it was Yogi's then) after school at P.S. 205, we'd go inside, and she would buy me a Clark bar--it was always a Clark bar. And then I'd continue on alone to Hebrew School at Young Israel. I'd take virtually the same walk as you do! A Happy Passover to you!

Cool. Thanks so much. It means a lot to me to hear that you looked here and that it brought back memories for you.

BTW it was Pete's for a while, but is now a diner with a different name. When I was a kid in the 70s it was not a diner as much as a luncheonette.

Somewhere on the blog I have an actual picture of the shul, but I can't find it.

Happy Passover to you and may you always enjoy sweet memories.
