BTW - This brought to mind the following memory. Circa 1985 I saw my brother off at the airport in Israel. I shared a sherut - cab with some flight staff including a pilot. One of the other passengers asked the pilot if he had seen the world. The pilot said yes. Then the guy asked if it was exciting to see so many places. And the pilot said he paid no attention.
I always think of that story together with this one. I went with some yeshiva buddies to the funeral of the Steipler. We found a spot on a side street. An old man was sweeoing his sidewalk. He asked us why so many people were gathering. We told him. He hadn't heard.
