RIP - Mary Travers

Tomorrow's her birthday and there will be a memorial for her. Here's one example of her haunting sincerity.

It's a pretty song, but it has a drawback that turns me off of lots of folk music - it's got only one part. It needs a high part, a bridge, something more.

I love that song, and everything she sang on "In the Wind," my first record album. Also, it was nice that she had an alto voice, because I always have, too, and it made it easy to sing along. Just beautiful... peaceful... yes, calming.
