My father - he should continue to live long and be healthy and happy - turns 80 today. I think he is appropriately pleased and thankful to G-d to have reached this milestone. On this date in 1929 more light came into this world and continues to shine. Baruch Hashem. Happy Birthday Dad.

What's Dad's Hebrew b-day?
He looks wonderful! - and a lot like his son.
Assuming that my dad - HSLABW - was born before sunset, his Hebrew birthday is the 27th of Ellul

Thanks Anne - didn't see your comment because it didn't show till I completed mine. Yes. This picture is from 2/9/07, not so long ago. For a photo from July (and probably a buttress for the resemblance theory) see here. I have a feeling it's more apt to say I look like him than v.v.

You and your Dad have birthdays very close. Today (October 5) is my Dad's birthday. He is also 80 years old. May your father enjoy many healthy and happy years ahead.
