Good Day Sunshine

The bell will ring in about a minute - the regular crowd will soon shuffle in. Nathaniel is first, looks over my shoulder, and takes umbrage at my taking Billy Joel's phrase. Jeremy, and Dani, and Josh follow, talking about stuff. Dani's just back from a loss in the family - may they know only comfort. Noa, and Elisheva, and Yarden are now here... Time to make the donuts. May G-d bless me and you and everyone with a great day.

Good Day Sunshine is a Beatles song. Billy Joel has covered a lot of their songs though, so it's an easy mistake.

The titles are always chosen for a reason, never random ("for what it's worth"). I have a lot of pop culture in my brain and often something about a post brings a song title to mind. This post was written at the start of my day and the title popped into my head as I quickly wrote and posted and pushed publish, as the bell was ringing, and the students were coming in for their first class of the morning and of the week, and I was feeling optimistic and that Beatles title came to mind and I quickly chose it, rather than something more simple like "Have A Nice Day." The reference in the post to my taking Billy Joel's phrase is about the regular crowd shuffling in, and was written before the post had a title.

Yeah. I thought that's a pretty well known lyric (as opposed to the slightly more obscure song title "For What It's Worth" and the title of the next post up, which is one of the songs on that Neil Diamond album).
