I Climb The Poetic Slide

When I started blogging I remembered the story of the slide. In first or second grade I got in trouble for climbing the slide itself rather than using the ladder. I did it not to be daredevil but because that was the way that I was comfortably unafraid. I think about that now as I write in a way that I'm comfortable. Some things have been pounding at my mind and soul but I'm not comfortable writing about it straight up the ladder so instead I climb the poetic slide.
o
When my friend Seth saw Bang The Drum Slowly
his father turned to him as they left the theater
and muttered, "man's inhumanity against man:"

Every second that I grow older
I see more and try to understand
more than G-d and his G-dly plan
man's inhumanity against man

We pray to G-d while pushing each other
We buzz saw through words we mechanically utter
We hurt each other as only we can
and blame G-d for our inhumanity against man

Rabbi Neil urges, as only he can,
Though most may stumble and fall
Evading the Essential Divine Call,
that we embrace, throughout it all
man's humanity towards man.

I just chanced upon this post and am humble and grateful for the beautiful poem. I urge humanity from myself as well. And I sound snarky in a comment here and thst's upseting. I hope I didn't mean to be . I'm sorry for my previous tone - all those years ago -tone in the comments here.
