1. I'm embarrassed to even guess - without googling, my best guess as to the Chashmonai revolt is somewhere around 130 to 150 B.CLE.

3. correct (my source just calls 'em Syrians, but you're more exact)

5. My source says - to spread language, religion, and cultural practices of Greece throughout the realm

8. unclear Q - I meant in what form was t transcribed and the answer is it was essentially unwritten, highly changeable, subject to whims of ,local rulers
9. Under Alexander accepting Hellenism was considered a voluntary matter. The policy of tolerance and liberality was sustained by his successors
