This Is My Once A Year Day
Just had a happy wonderful moment. The head of the department that I teach the most classes in sat with me for a report on his observation of my class. In his written comments he was very praiseworthy of "exceptional rapport," involvement of students, direction of learning, and enthusiasm. In life it's said to be best to keep what we do between us and G-d - to do what's right because it's right. Looking for positive feedback from others is a subjective, slippery slope. Forgive me for sharing this moment, this weakness, this need. Perhaps grant me this inkling, this human desire for being recognized for the good. I thank G-d, as I know he sees. I thank
G-d also for this sweet moment of frail human life.

I think every student would benefit from having Rabbi Neil Fleischmann as his/her teacher-- the highest praise one can give you in the academic world.
Kol HaKavod.

Neil,
Not much I can add to all the above comments. Mazel Tov on this really special observation report. Continue to do the great things you do in so many areas, for many, many years.
Love,
Your "anonymous" MOM
I would like to thank The Academy...and Steg...oh my gosh...Bill Conti is playing me off...and Pearl and Mirty... and of course Mom and Dad.
This was a quiet moment without fanfare - I chose to only write what I wrote here, and tell no-one else in any other medium.
