In The Executive Lounge

9 PM - Holiday Inn - Could Be Anywhere

Havdalla has ended here at the Yachad High School Leadership Seminar and I've discovered this computer for guest's use. Hundreds of adolescents here, with AOL a second away, but they don't know it. That's a great metaphor for teshuva. But I'm thinking mainly that I hope they don't discover this secret space.

Shabbos Candles for the Shabbaton were assorted scented candles in large glass jars. They burned all through Shabbos and filled the first floor with a delicious smell. No-one made a big deal about them, but I think it was an amazing thing. Kind of like dandelions, so common, so beautiful.

A blog is a beautiful thing but an ugly word. It's almost like a self consciousness about how nice the prossess is that those engaged in it selfconsciously call it by this monstrous name. Reminds me of how after big meaningful events people sometimes smoke.

It's amazing to me thatI've heard no comment, seen no-one besides myself just standing in front of them and taking them in.
